I am still alive, and here are some of the latest updates on my increasingly irrelevant existence.
I just broke up with my girlfriend. I bet you didn’t even know I had one. It doesn’t matter, because we broke up and now I don’t. Therefore you remain correct.
My psychiatrist (I don’t know her name) called for an every-four-month checkup. “How are you doing?” She asked in a south-Asian accent. “I just broke up with my girlfriend, so not that great,” I replied in a South-American accent. Fortunately, she had a prophecy. “Don’t worry, you are still young and very soon will find someone new”. Unfortunately, I wasn’t looking for someone new just hours after losing someone old, so that didn’t help. Her next set of questions included the trivial and some surprises. She wanted to know if I hear voices or have visions. Very exciting, but I had to disappoint. Maybe next time.
I hired a personal trainer. But don’t congratulate me yet. The project lasted no more than a couple of months. I couldn’t keep up with it. The main problem is that, once you hire a trainer, she (mine is a she) will expect you to show up. And when you do, she will give you a bunch of physical tasks to perform. That was a bit of a problem. My routine doesn’t accommodate that sort of commitment. This is why I much prefer to join a gym that I can pay for and never go to.
I am trying intermittent fasting. Is it going to work? I don’t know. But I am trying, and that’s already something. I need to lose a lot of weight — so I can exercise my fatphobia without being part of the target demographic. It’s a big challenge. I should be exercising too. Perhaps join the gym. Or hire a personal trainer.
I went for a walk in London. After a long time away from the city. It felt nice. I photographed beautiful places and a bunch of random people on the street. It was fun and refreshing. Follow me on Twitter for the photos.
I am working on a project for creators. It’s called CreateIRL and comes in the form of a monthly newsletter of curated resources for photographers, video makers, podcasters, illustrators, designers, and more. If that sounds like you subscribe for free.
That’s it for today. Before you go, here are two things you can do to make me happy.
Follow me on Twitter. I have been wasting a lot of time there. It would be nice to know that you are doing the same. Let’s share the guilt.
Follow me on Instagram. There's a great new project coming... ok, I have nothing coming really. But at some point, I will. And it will be great.
Have a gelato,
